Here is a good example of a Bulova Brigadier variant. It has a USA movement 8AC 21 Jewels. 
This variant is unusual and not common. The dial shows age at the one o'clock to two o'clock area.
The movement design is unusual because the barrel bridge covers everything. This watch has been serviced, a new mainspring installed along with a new crystal, and leather band, along with new replacement (NOS) hands as a direct replacement.
The case has a nice scroll either side of the crystal and there is no plate wear thru.
Measures 36.5mm lug to lug and 21.5mm wide.
