This watch dates to 1942 and is the largest of the 3 "medical" watches that Bulova made back then, next smaller one was the Doctors watch followed by the Nurses watch, and all shared the central sweeping second hand so that pulse and blood pressure could be measured more accurately. Generally speaking most watches of the era had a small seconds hand and were not general accurate enough for this type of measurement.
It is very good condition, with original dial and hands, showing age related patina. There is a new crystal and leather strap that has been installed.
